Finally Married

As you all know, we are finally married!! October 8, 2011 at 6:00 we finally "tied the knot". The wedding went much better than I had even planned. I get really nervous when I plan stuff that everything is just going to go wrong, but we really didn't have that happen at all. I was very calm until about 10 minutes beforehand. I wasn't nervous about marrying John, but I was so nervous to get up and stand in front of that big crowd. My Dad laughed at me because he said I danced in front of way more people than that, but it's different when you are just standing up on stage and everyone's watching you.
We went on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon. We had a very good trip and it was so nice to go on vacation. My favorite island was Antigua. It was so beautiful! I would love to go back there! They supposedly have 365 beaches. One beach for each day of the year!
There is still a lot more going on in our family and it's so crazy!
Monday, October 31st, we will find out what Tamara and Michael are having. I'm really hoping they have a boy, but I think everyone else is hoping a girl. We also have Cheryl's wedding coming up on November 12th!! We are all very excited!!

John and I are crazy busy right now though. Just a lot of stuff scheduled for us to do. This coming Wednesday we are going to Lexington for the Blue & White Scrimmage. Not tomorrow, but next Saturday, we are going to Lexington for the UK vs. Mississippi State football game. Then November 7th, we'll be heading back to Lexington for the UK vs. Morehouse Exhibition Game. So needless to say, we'll be driving to Lexington a lot. Then for Thanksgiving we'll be traveling to Chicago to spend the week with John's family that lives there! I can't wait!

I've decided that since John and I aren't planning on having kids for about 2 1/2 to 3 years that I really want us to do a lot of traveling. We're trying to plan a trip to Chattanooga sometime soon. I just want to do weekend trips because obviously we both work full time and can't just leave all the time. But still I'm very excited that we're finally allowed to travel together!!!

Well, I think this is the longest post I've ever done, but we've had a lot going on.

Update

Not much has really changed lately. Still crazy busy working and taking two summer classes. I really can't wait until the semester is over and I can halfway relax. We have about three and a half months until the wedding and we're both very excited. I'm starting to get a little stressed thinking about it. I always have the feeling that big parties (the wedding) is going to not be what I want it or not be very fun. Makes me a little nervous, but I know it will turn out right.
My family is trying to plan a small weekend vacation to Gatlinburg and I really hope it works out! We all could use a weekend away from here.
I had a change to the wedding party. I took one girl out (I'll keep it anonymous) and put one of my co-workers, Allison Baumgardner, in it. I'm very excited about this! Allison is amazing and I know she'll help out with stuff and make everything even more fun. John is still deciding on his groomsmen, but we're getting close to a final list of them.
I am very excited about the cruise we're going on for the honeymoon. I swear sometimes I wish that we weren't having an elaborate wedding and we could just elope and go on our honeymoon. I'm not even really looking forward to the ceremony. I just want to go on the cruise. We are very blessed that my parents are helping out money wise for the wedding because the cruise is not cheap at all, but we both know that it will be worth it!
One of my bridesmaids, Kayla, is pregnant and is due in September! I'm so very excited!!! Her baby shower is next week and I can't wait. I love baby showers!!! I'm excited that we're right around the corner from them so Kayla watch out! I might come take your baby sometimes. (Maybe it'll stop John from wanting one right away. LOL)
I'm moving into our house in August which is just a small month and a half away. I can't wait. It'll be nice to be on my own for a little bit before the wedding. Girls nights will definitely be in sight. Very often! Ha. But the main point of this blog is that I'm very happy and excited for everything that is happening this year!!!

I Can Hear the Bells

It's been forever since I've posted so here goes nothing. A lot has happened since the last post. I've switched jobs and I can now comment about how that's going. I'm at First Citizens Bank now and it's going pretty good. Like any job, it has it's days where I want to just walk out, get in my car and drive as far away from it as fast as I possibly can. But most days it's pretty good.
The wedding plans are coming along very well though! I have pretty much everything booked so far. I have the ceremony site, reception site, DJ, flowers, photographer, videographer and a wedding coordinator booked. I feel like we are so ahead of the game. Five months and I already pretty much have everything done.
All of my six bridesmaids (Cheryl, Tamara, Kayla, Kiara, Andrea and Danelle) have ordered their dresses and I have already received my dress. I don't really need any alterations except to have it hemmed. Other than that it's perfect! Flowers wise I for sure have mine picked out. I'm going to be carrying purple orchids. I'm still trying to figure out what the bridesmaids will be carrying though.
John and I recently had our engagement pictures taken. Our wedding photographer Bob Knoll took them for us. I won't give away his secret spot, but they turned out absolutely amazing.

Starting Over

So as most of you already know, I got a new job. Today is my last day at the credit union. I am extremely excited in some ways, but kind of sad in others. I really will miss all of the people that I work with, but that's really about all that I'll miss. I have never been big on change, but I guess I'll have to get over that.
One thing I'm very excited about with my new job is that I get my own desk! YAY!! Since I've been a teller, I've never had my own desk or even my own set area to work in, so I'm very excited to be able to have that. And to be able to put a picture of me and my amazing fiance on it!
I think it's pretty crazy that as an eighteen, soon to be nineteen year old, I'm starting a good full time job with benefits, planning on buying a house, and getting married...all in the same year! We've definitely got a busy year ahead of us! But I am so very excited!!!

So I'll go ahead and start with how good the wedding planning is coming along. So far we already have the photographer booked (Bob Knoll Photograph), talking to a DJ (Matt English), talking with a videographer (Kay Rountree), and I have my wedding coordinator booked (La'Keta Bobbitt). People might think that I don't really need a wedding coordinator, but I really want someone that people won't know for the rehearsal so that she can get mad at them for joking around and what not. And we met up yesterday to go over everything and she really does help us out A WHOLE LOT! I'm definitely looking forward to having her help.
We also booked our honeymoon this past week. We are going on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean. We're going to all of the islands that we both really wanted to see: St. Lucia, St. Marteen, Virgin Islands, Barbados and Antigua. We leave for the cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico so that's another place that we'll be going to. I'm sooooo very excited! I definitely could use a vacation again!

School is going okay so far. It's only the second week so not much has happened yet. All of my classes are pretty much just a lot of book work since they're all online classes. I just have to make sure I don't get lazy and stop reading my books!

I'm still really searching for a new job. I think a lot of stress would go away once I get a new one.

Well that's about it for now. EIGHT AND A HALF MONTHS LEFT TIL THE DAY!!!

STRESSED

Starting to get very stressed about this year and it’s barely started.

I’m taking 15 hours of online classes this semester in hopes that I can hurry and have my associate’s by July. Also trying to get a full time job…which hasn’t been working out so great yet…so that John and I can have more money saved up by the time we get married.

And to top it all off, I have to plan a wedding!!! AGHHH. I don’t even know where to start. Everyone keeps telling me they’ll help me, but I don’t even know what to ask them to help me with. I know everything will work out just fine, but October just needs to hurry up and get here. I just wanna be married already!!

Schedule for the semester:

Astronomy 191

Anthropology 101

Intro to Jazz Music

Accounting 201

Biology 112

Please year, go by fast!
